Microsoft Teams can provide a useful notification channel for PI data-quality and configuration issues. The integration should deliver actionable alerts without turning a Teams channel into a stream of noise.

Send only actionable events

Define which conditions require a Teams notification.

Good candidates include:

• Critical stale signals

• Important analysis failures

• Data-quality issues on high-priority assets

• Material configuration changes

• Repeated failures that require attention

Do not send every informational finding.

Include the minimum useful context

A notification should identify:

• What happened
